Caesar Chicken Flatbread
Caesar chicken flatbread combines warm, cheesy chicken with crisp romaine, Parmesan, and creamy Caesar dressing on a golden naan crust. Use store-bought naan for a quick weeknight meal, or make it from scratch with our Homemade Naan Bread for an extra-special version.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the naan, if making homemade.
If using Homemade Naan Bread, prepare and cook the naan according to the recipe before assembling the flatbreads. Once cooked, set aside while you prepare the chicken and toppings. If using store-bought naan, skip this step and continue with the recipe.
-
Preheat the oven.
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place the naan on a baking sheet.
-
Season the chicken.
Add the cooked chicken to a bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons Caesar dressing, garlic powder, and black pepper.
-
Assemble the flatbreads.
Lightly brush each naan with olive oil. Spread about 1 tablespoon Caesar dressing over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges.
Divide the mozzarella between the flatbreads. Top with the Caesar chicken and about half of the Parmesan.
-
Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the naan are golden and slightly crisp.
-
Prepare the romaine.
While the flatbreads bake, place the chopped romaine in a bowl. Toss with just enough Caesar dressing to lightly coat the lettuce.
-
Add the fresh toppings.
Remove the flatbreads from the oven and let them rest for about 2 minutes. Top with the dressed romaine and remaining Parmesan.
-
Finish and serve.
Drizzle with a little additional Caesar dressing and finish with freshly cracked black pepper. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.
Slice and serve immediately.
Note
Store-bought or homemade naan: Store-bought naan makes this an especially fast weeknight meal. If you have a little more time, use our Homemade Naan Bread instead.
Rotisserie chicken works great. Use leftover rotisserie chicken to make this even easier. Grilled or baked chicken also works.
Don't bake the romaine. The contrast between the hot cheesy flatbread and cool, crisp Caesar salad is part of what makes this recipe so good.
Don't overdo the dressing. Too much Caesar dressing can make the naan soggy. Start with a small amount and serve extra on the side.
Add some crunch. Sprinkle crushed Caesar croutons over the finished flatbread for extra texture and even more classic Caesar flavor.
How to Make It Gluten-Free
Use a certified gluten-free naan or flatbread and check that your Caesar dressing is gluten-free. If adding croutons, use gluten-free croutons as well.
