These Homemade Italian Meatballs are packed with flavor from a combination of ground beef and Italian sausage, plenty of Italian seasoning, garlic, onion, and Parmesan. They’re tender, well-seasoned, and easy to bake for pasta, meatball subs, pizza bites, or dipping in your favorite sauce.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Add the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, milk, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and parsley to a large bowl.
Use clean hands or a fork to gently combine the ingredients just until everything is evenly distributed. Avoid overmixing or packing the mixture too tightly, which can make the meatballs dense.
Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop the meat mixture into even portions. Gently roll each portion between your hands to form a ball and place on the prepared baking sheet. Using a cookie scoop keeps the meatballs evenly sized so they cook at the same rate.
Bake for about 18–22 minutes, or until browned and the centers reach 160°F.
Serve immediately with your favorite marinara and pasta, or use the meatballs in subs, bowls, or your Pizza Meatball Bites.
Replace the Italian breadcrumbs with gluten-free Italian-style breadcrumbs and make sure the Italian sausage and seasonings you're using are gluten-free.
